Marissa Robinson, LMHC. NYC Therapy

Marissa Robinson is the Clinical Director of Be You Psychotherapy. She specializes in individual therapy and couples therapy. Marissa works primarily with young professionals in their 20s and 30s who are navigating life's challenges, including anxiety, depression, career transitions, relationship issues, communication problems, and sex and intimacy concerns

As an experienced relationship therapist, Marissa believes the foundation of healthy connections—both with yourself and others—starts with being grounded in your authentic self. Marissa's therapy approach combines emotions-based therapy, strengths based therapy with relational therapy to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and free of judgment. Whether you're facing challenges in your relationships or managing stress from life changes, Marissa works with you to develop deeper self-awareness through your emotions and provides practical tools for lasting change.

Marissa’s clients leave each session feeling more connected, purposeful, and clear about their emotions, healthier relationships, and feeling more satisfied with life overall. If you're ready to take the next step toward healing, growth, and emotional well-being, Marissa is here to support you.

Get to Know Me

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SELF-CARE TIP/WAY TO WRAP UP A LONG DAY?

Taking a long walk always helps me wrap up the day because I am moving my body, breathing in the air, and allowing myself to let go of the emotions of the day. For me, movement is key!

WHAT IS ONE THING THAT ALWAYS BRINGS A SMILE TO YOUR FACE?

My dog, Tucker, and cooking a homemade dinner for myself after a long day ◡̈.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE RESOURCES

Two women sitting in a bright room, one on a brown office chair and the other on a white couch, engaged in conversation. A side table with a small plant is near one woman, and a tall plant is against the wall. There are large windows with sheer white curtains and a black-framed glass door or window.

BUSINESS PARTNERS COUPLES THERAPY

Three women with long hair standing outdoors on a sidewalk, wearing blue denim baseball caps, with their backs facing the camera, in an urban setting with trees and buildings in the background.

OUT OF NETWORK BENEFITS

A therapist and a patient having a conversation in a well-lit room with large windows, a potted plant, and comfortable chairs.

EMBARESSMENT VS. SHAME. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
