Charlotte Lieberman

She/Her
Psychotherapist in Training

Charlotte believes that emotions — even the most painful ones — carry important information, guiding us to consider how we might want to move forward differently in our lives. She aims to create a space of acceptance and safety where clients can explore their emotions, behaviors, and thoughts with curiosity and compassion — and together identify opportunities for growth. Charlotte sees therapy as a healing ritual: a place to show up for oneself with greater kindness, and to practice new ways of connecting and communicating with another. With warmth and humor, she supports clients in seeing their challenges not as problems to fix, but opportunities for greater awareness, self-compassion, and insight.

Charlotte’s approach is informed by a deep interest in meditation and mindfulness, as well as somatic approaches to psychotherapy. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or perfectionism, Charlotte will gently guide you to connect more deeply with yourself and explore creative ways to shift and grow.

What Makes You Feel Connected to Yourself?

Taking long walks in New York City — and noticing interesting sights and sounds along the way. There is so much going on in the city, but seeing what draws my attention helps me appreciate my unique point of view.

What is One Thing that Always Brings a Smile to Your Face?

Going to the movies always comforts and delights me — the nostalgic smell of popcorn, the dimming lights, and getting lost in a different world for a couple hours!
